Academic Facilities

Although students who are still undertaking an academic program have a choice of school they attend, the highly respected Camberwell High School is the predominant academic provider for students attending the Academy (RCA).

Established in 1941 and located on a 3.2 hectare site, Camberwell High School is approximately 12 km (7.4 miles) from Melbourne’s central business district.

It is a forward-thinking school with a wonderful legacy of multi-storey cream brick buildings on an impressive site that includes extensive new developments and facilities.

The School’s Arts/Technology Complex, state-of-the-art Library and Science Centre are part of an on-going vision to provide the best facilities for the school community. The five computer classrooms and nine computer suites ensure the optimum use of Information and Communications Technology across the curriculum.

Other facilities include the sports hall, access to tennis courts, international standard hockey ground, VCE Centre and the soundproof music rehearsal rooms enhance the school’s impressive music program.
